Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
Avoid this rum it's a nasty excuse to get rid of cheap vanilla essence.
A simple classic mixer from my college days, it will always have a place in my heart. Going back to it now, it's a mouthful of vanilla, but still fun and drinkable.
Not a bad choice for a first rum, with coke it becomes somewhat of a starter drink. Caramel and vanilla evident, making coke a fine pairing but I switched to club soda to cut calories and the foul morning after taste coke leaves
Nothing wrong with it when mixed with coke. Pretty much cheap summer classic, but I cant find anything to enjoy when drinking alone.
What is there to say... Capt and Coke please. Not as good as others, but it works.
The nose explodes on vanillin and lemon with hint of honey. In the mouth, we find the vanilla with milk chocolate. Do not look for a final and aftertaste with this rum but rather the way to create an original cocktail with ...
I enjoy this drink.
It has a beautiful spice taste to it. Maybe just a little powerful but not disheartening.
Its not smooth and causes a nice little bite going down with the spice kicking in afterwards.
Well done n good pirates bottle hahaha
Hi everyone I’m gay and I reallllllllllllllllllllly don’t like gays
You know what you get with the Cap’n. Definitely the best rum to start with as it gives you a good baseline moving forward. Just make sure you don’t stick to morgans for too long as there are much better runs to experiment.
A bit alcoholic with synthetic flavoring, but it works. Taste is on par with pfice and shortcomings are clear if consumed on ice or neat.
So this stuff goes great in coke. Adds a really full spicy body like cinnamon and vanilla flavors, really brings out the awesomeness that is coca cola.
I'll sip it in a pinch because it really isn't bad rum, it just lacks the subtler qualities that make a truly great sipper. It definitely sips easier with a cube or two in it, which of course kills the effect of a neat glass of rum. That's just personal preference though I guess.
Is it even really rum. Is ok with some cola of there is nothing else to drink. Don't understand how it is so popular
If you’re after a sweet mixer rum this is it. Tonnes of vanilla and sugar
This is cheap commercial rum and is really hard to find something good in taste or smell. Only one good thing is that there are worse rums.
This rum is very sweet, which was a good thing before I started to drink more serious rums
This is far from good rum, but cheap enough to be used in mixed drinks.
Can work in some drinks, for me this is like moonshine with added flavours.
Rhum à impérativement couper avec du cola en cocktail avec citron et glaçon
Well at some point of your life you will drink this, in some bar, coffe, disco, whatever.. and you will think than its a nice flavour.but please try others! and you will really start to like and enjoy rum.
War mal 'ne ganze Zeit lang in Mode (Cola-Rum), aber irgendwann hat man ihn einfach über: IMHO zu aufdringlich. Wenn man nicht gerad paar passende Cocktail-Rezepte zur Hand hat (z.B. Cable/Qnebel Car, Captn’s Orange Push Up/Sun Set/Squish, etc.), dann streicht man ihn irgendwann auf seiner Liste. Der Bacardi Oakheart ist hier definitiv die bessere Wahl.
Tastes after vanilla - at the beginning I did not like, it nevertheless I like to return to it.
This used to be my go to years ago as it was easy to find and inexpensive. The years and experience now tells me avoid it if you can as there are so many other great rums out there.
Bra populistisk dryck, inget som egentligen hör hemma inom riktig rom men blandad med ex cola så ger den bra smak och lukt. En bra bas bland rom som ofta är prisvärd.
