Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold

This is borring no good Dark(ish) rum. But back when i go no rum exp. This was my go to for Blacker rum. But ive tasted it a few times since then. And it only bringes out memories, not a lot of niceness in sense of taste.

But I can't. The Captain remains my go-to mixer. Call it habit, or weak enough to barely taste and not feel, or just price conscious, but I'll always have the Captain on my shelf... bottom shelf. 7 rating because, yes, you can recommend to anyone for its commercial appeal. Just also recommend your fave cola cuz it's shit as a sipper.

Pretty standard as rum. Not fine taste, not smelling fine, just standard. With Cola it is fine.

A mess of sugar and artificial flavors. This is downright disgusting, there is no way to call it anything else.
The only positive thing that comes to mind, is that it's good testimony for the spirit-laws in Jamaica, that will not allow this abomination to be called a rum.

This is the go-to rum for new drinkers who're looking to get smashed. You can find much better tasting rums at virtually any liquor store for the same price. Definitely not worth purchasing.

Even though spiced rums are almost always used as a mixer, you can do so much better than choosing this one since the aftertaste is pretty bad.
