Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold

This was the first alcohol I ever drank and I loved it back then. Now, when I have grown up a little, it's a fun choice. It's very basic and nothing extra but I love the simplicity of it and I can't help but feel a bit nostalgic whenever i drink this.

For sipping, it is absolutely NOT a good choice simply because there are so many better choices out there. But for mixing, I find it very hard to beat on a warm summer day/evening mixed with coke, ice and a lemon!

Alter, im Mix mit Cola ist der super lecker. Wirklich wie Vanille Cola, fast schon gefährlich, weil das so lecker ist und kaum nach Alkohol schmeckt.

In college I hated beer, so my girlfriend's dad (now my father-in-law) suggested that I try Captain and Coke. I was hooked. It was another 15 years before I discovered rum beyond the Cuba Libre, but I have no problems going back to my roots. Not a sipper, but I wouldn't turn down a cocktail made with it, and I'll always give the Captain a snappy salute!

This was my first and I still like it today. It’s not advertised as a great high end but as a commercially available rum. You will find this in most pubs/bars/clubs. It goes well with cola but is not good for sipping. A very sharp aftertaste if drunk neat but a nice sweet drink with cola. Not going to win any awards for best rum but will do the job if at a loose end.

Better than bacardi, a decent cheap one to mix rum and coke

Tastes like Chocolate with vanilla , good to blend to give it a special touch.

Good and decent rum to mix with some/lots of coca-cola.

As a college student and onward in my life now, I know this isn't anywhere comparable to a more complex rum, but you arn't getting this to be complex, your getting this to drink and have an easy going time.

Very easy to mix and drink with coke and other simple mixes, easy go to at most bars without issues.

Personally I find this rum ok, I would use it mostly for long drinks, sometimes with cola and lime
I find it at a price of 17€ which is very descent for me

I would definitely suggest it to a beginner.

The typical party drink when I am out with friends.
