Wow this does not deserve to be in a bottle ... It should power a car as petrol ... Horrible from start to finish
I had a few drinks of Ron Añejo Botran Reserva Blanca while vacationing in Oaxaca Mexico. Pretty decent bottle and label design. Pure alcohol to the nose and palate if neat sipped. Mixes rather well with your favorite soda.
Nothing that completely stand out on this but For the price I paid around £10 it’s a decent mixer. Nuff said
A good one to have on the shelf. Mixes well with everything, and makes a wonderful daiquiri. When I don't want to mix the more expensive Cana Brava, I reach for this one.
Colour- White
Flavour- Fruity
Uses- mixer
I dont often buy white rum but apparently this is a aged rum produced in Guatemala. They age it in an ex-bourbon cask and then charcoal filter it to remove the colour why i dont know but its ok,fine for a cocktail by no means great but one to add to the collection... plus £10 think the pricing gun man had been drinking it retails at £25
The best white rum I've ever tried neat, that's it
40% ABV. This rum was smooth and slightly sweet. Almost no hint of off-putting alcohol aroma. Maybe the slightest bit of coconut. Not too different from the Real McCoy 3, though I'd choose the latter any day :)

Update 12/17 - The Dec. 23 box in the 2017 DbtD rum advent calendar. Dreaming of a "white" Christmas, are we?
Delicate nose. Coconut and tropical fruits. Palate: bubblegum, cherries, vanilla, caramel. Hint of brine. Short in flavor, short in finish. Recommended for those choosing between this and Bacardi (no contest), or those wanting a very mild white rum with hints of fruit.

I must collect something, else i get crazy, so why not Rum?
Actually read the the wrong review on this site. It seems I didn't realise it was another Botran rum when I was googling from the store on my phone. Money down the drain. Barely drinkable. If I can't drink them neat I usually don't bother mixing them either so...
I bought a bottle because my local shop has run out of Plantation 3 Stars. This is similar stuff, a good quality, quite complex white rum with an interesting tropical mix on the nose and a pronounced waft of coconut. I enjoy it neat, but it comes into its own in a daiquiri.
