In der Nase ganz zarte und feine Nuancen von mit Moos bewachsenen Fassdauben, etwas angebranntem Karamell und tropischen Früchten.
Am Gaumen sehr ausgewogen und zahm. Tropische Früchte in Karamell getunkt und mit Vanilleeis auf einem Holzteller serviert, obendrauf ein paar Schoko-flakes, Kokosraspel und ein Brösel Kardamom.
Im Abgang dezent, Kakao, Karamell und Vanille bleiben doch für eine Weile auf der Zunge.
Ein gut gemachter Rhum leicht und locker, eher für einen lauen Sommerabend als im Oktober.
Dieser Rhum braucht Zeit und Raum um sich zu öffnen und Er erzählt leise eine Geschichte, man muss Ihm nur zuhören. Sehr edle Aufmachung in dieser Preisklasse (53.-) obwohl das Siegelwachs sehr mühsam zu entfernen ist und der Korken mit dem Zapfenzieher gezogen werden muss (muss dann auch ersetzt werden) für Einsteiger und Entdecker, nicht so süss. 7+

In the nose very delicate and fine nuances of barrel staves covered with moss, some burnt caramel and tropical fruits.
On the palate very balanced and tame. Tropical fruits dipped in caramel and served with vanilla ice cream on a wooden plate, topped with a few chocolate flakes, grated coconut and a crumb of cardamom.
The finish is subtle, cocoa, caramel and vanilla remain on the tongue for a while.
A well made rhum light and loose, more for a warm summer evening than in October.
This rhum needs time and space to open up and it tells a quiet story, you just have to listen to it. Very noble presentation in this price range (53.-) although the sealing wax is very difficult to remove and the cork has to be pulled with a peg puller (has to be replaced then) for beginners and discoverers, not so sweet. 7+

It has the right sweetness but some alcohol harshness. Very fruity with a charred taste and some caramel. A bit of oak smell.

This was one of my first rums, years ago. I didn‘t like it too much then. But maybe I was just not ready for such a type of rum. Will give it another chance if i ever encounter it again.
