Fantastic coconut rum to sip on if you enjoy a much sweeter pour. Great for mixing. Very coconut/vanilla forward.
Absolutely love this rum. Good flavor but not overpowering with fake coconut sweetness.
This will not be for everyone, but if you like coconut, this is fantastic. Smooth, made with real coconut flakes, so it doesn't taste like tanning lotion unlike a lot of the other flavored rums.
We had been looking for a good coconut rum and all we could find is the awful sweet ones. Even made our own. Decided to try this one. WOW. With the toasting of the coconut you get more dark sugar tones which, with the coconut, give a smooth almost Mounds candy bar taste with out all the sweetness. It would be great over ice cream or just over ice.
Strong notes of coconut & vanilla - but the vanilla doesn't have that "artificial" aftertaste that trips up so many rums.
This is a 10 for coconut/spiced rums. No artificial taste in the slightest. I could sip this or add it to any cocktail. If you like coconut, you're going to love this. My only warning is that it is not a very strong coconut flavor, it's much more subtle than you expect from other coconut rums, but in the best way. It really tastes like a fantastic spiced rum with a subtle taste of toasted coconut. I love adding this to Mai Tai's and Caipirinha's for a hint of coconut.
I recently visited Siesta Key Rum's distillery down in Sarasota and took their tour. It was fun, educational and we got to sample 5 or 6 different rums. The Coconut was my favorite. Very smooth, sweet and flavored but not overpowering. They actually dump fresh grown toasted coconut into the rum and let it soak for several days. They use Florida grown sugar cane for their molasses. They will only use natural, simple ingredients in their rums, no FDA laboratory approved pseudo-franken-flavors!
If everything they said during their presentation is true then they really care about making the best possible rum.
The aged, reserved spiced rum was excellent also!
I bought a piece of Coconut Rum cake that I am having for a treat tonight.
I can't wait to pour some of this Coconut Rum nectar into a tall glass of ice and pineapple juice and just float away on cool ocean breeze.
This is good rum with a nice coconut flavor. I'm drinking it over ice without a mixer.
Unfortunately I don’t get much toasted coconut but more of a marshmallow flavor. Maybe I’ve been so conditioned to artificial coconut flavoring that I just can not recognize true authentic coconut. Either way it is easy to sip, not overly sweet and balanced flavor. Once you get past the flavor, you can tell it’s a quality rum, especially for coming from the states. Well worth the money if you can find it(it just made it’s way up to Illinois, the Chicagoland area at least) and don’t mind a little flavor. Or if you like to support American made products, which most rum drinkers do not get the chance to do.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Delicious - Best Coconut Rum I've Ever Had

There are a lot of coconut rums out there, and when mixed with fruit punch, they all go down fine. But here is a coconut rum you could even drink neat. On the nose you get a hint of coconut, but also smell the rum. The first sip has a bit of an oily mouth feel, but it fills your mouth with a sweet coconut milk flavor, followed by toasted marshmallow and nutmeg.
