Evidentemente no estamos hablando de un ron premium.
Estamos hablando de un ron versátil que podrá ser mezclado con alguna otra bebida gasificada y nos dara un sabor decente.
Definitivamente mi Ron favorito para consumir el día a día.
Very good in whiskey based cocktails like the classic old fashioned. I hear that it has such a whiskey like taste is because Appleton estate use ex jack Daniels barrels. I personally like to pair this with grapefruit juice. Use this as bait for your whiskey loving friends.
Smooth and gentle rum perfect for cocktails. Will blend in without overpowering.
As Appleton recommend, this is not meant to be a sipping rum.
Although drinkable straight don't expect much.
Great with ginger ale and a lime. Best mixed with cola, blends well, very moreish.
Smooth, sweet rum where the alcohol doesn't sting as much as it would in spirits. Good as a sipping rum but quite nice with spicier mixers such as ginger beer.
Tastse like a high quality rum should taste. I usually only use this rum in cocktails but it's actually ok for sipping. It's not the best but considering value for money I wouldn't mind adding it to my collection
Warming and simple to drink over ice. A good standard for any cabinet.
After my disappointment with Appleton's 12 year old rum I have stayed away from this brand. However others have liked it so I bought a bottle on the way home from BVI. I am no connoisseur, but I do enjoy this rum. Taste is good but not as smooth as some. However in this price range it's a good pick.
A good well balanced flavour which I would expect coming from Jamaica but not very strong and that's this drinks only downfall.
Well balanced and it is a quite subtle (by Jamaican standards) rum.
"The initial sip is quite smooth but the palate soon heats up and feels the black pepper again, this time with some chilli and ginger spice."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
