Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 rum is made from a combination of rums from Barbados and Guyana. It is unique becuase of its triple ageding process where for 5 initial years the rum is aged in the Carribean in oak casks. Next PX 5 + 5 is aged in Spain for 5 years in sherry casks, and lastly for 2 more years in even older sherry casks.
The Dos Maderas family of rums are produced by Bodegas Williams & Humbert, which is a well known Spanish winery founded by Sir Alexander Williams in the late 1800s. The region of Spain where the winery is located has a climate perfectly suited for wine and is known as Europe's wine cellar.

A sweet slightly honey smell is followed by a sweet cherry chocolate taste.
Afterwards you'll feel a hint of oak and coconut to round up the experience.
If you enjoy sweeter, rounder rums, this is your price/performance rum!

Cenovka 30 eur - to je už vyšší level rumov, čakám teda pomerne slušný zážitok. Fľaša pekne gravírovaná, svojská, farba tmavšia, červenohnedá. Vôňa je dosť jemná, ovocná. Prvý dúšok ma prekvapil výraznou sladkosťou, je to doslova polovičný likér. Našťastie necítiť umelosť, naopak, dominujú prirodzené tóny hrozienok, čokolády, ale aj vlašských orechov a možno trochu espressa... nápoj je veľmi jemný, žiadny burn. Hoci je tento rum dosť sladký, na pozadí je stále cítiť to podstatné, DUB. Ten po chvíli doslova vypláva na povrch a drží dlhý záver. Až nečakane príjemné pitie. Celkovo spokojnosť, rating niekde medzi 7 a 8, kvôli vyššiemu obsahu cukru a cene dávam menšie číslo.

Notes of sherry and caramel, not overly sweet and a bit spicy.
Not a huge experience for me
Great taste and aroma, best rum for me so far, great choise for a reasonable price!

50 cl pour 10€, le litre à 20€ comme dirais un ami c'est un bon amuse gueule pour pas boire les bouteilles plus chères ;)

Nose: Light caramel. Anise.
Feel: Very light to start. Slightly oily. Walms up for a sweet sharp finish. Lingers slightly.
Taste: Muscovado, sherry (however I prefer the finish on the Brugal 1888). Cheery.
Value: 65 CAD. Probably 15 too much.
