Dos Maderas PX 5+5 rum

Dos Maderas PX 5+5

Barbados | Aged

Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 rum is made from a combination of rums from Barbados and Guyana. It is unique becuase of its triple ageding process where for 5 initial years the rum is aged in the Carribean in oak casks. Next PX 5 + 5 is aged in Spain for 5 years in sherry casks, and lastly for 2 more years in even older sherry casks.

The Dos Maderas family of rums are produced by Bodegas Williams & Humbert, which is a well known Spanish winery founded by Sir Alexander Williams in the late 1800s. The region of Spain where the winery is located has a climate perfectly suited for wine and is known as Europe's wine cellar.

Výtečný jemný rum s chutí po cherry, nádherná láhev. Opravdu výborná kvalita.

Sweet and smooth is a great combination. You can definitely pick up on the Sherry notes from the aging process.

Had this one in one round with Centenario XX. The taste is not that full as XX, but the smell is brilliant. Smells interesting with various different scents (raw tobacco for me) and the color is beautiful. Warm but not sharp and it has a profile whis is in contrast with the XX which has a more "universal" taste.

It is a 50-50 mix of oak and sherry flavors. The Luxus version goes full sherry on you, but it is a bit artificial. Take this, since it is fraction of the cost.

Smooth from start to finish! The bottle, then the Carmel colour, the aroma of both the rum and the sherry casks. Smooth taste and the finish is exquisite.

A good rum, nice and light in flavour. just an average good rum but very short, it doesn't leave an lasting impression. This is a good rum for a beginner given it's price and the quality you get for it.

Great rum. The taste is a little too sweet for me. It has a honey like finish.

You get oak barrel and some alcohol. Relatively smooth thou not much flavor. Subtle caramel and candy notes. I actually like 5 and 3 better. Close to 6 but maybe even high 5 range
