This Aged Rum is one of the best tastings Rums you will find.
You will nit be disappointed. One of the best Ive ever had. Easy on the pallet. Definate sipper. You will thoroughly enjoy this one. I drink a lot of different rums and I cant wait for special occasions for me to enjoy this one. A definite MUST HAVE.
Tasty but not very much variety in taste or complexity.
Wonderful golden amber color. Campfire sap, and coco on the nose. A little malty. Sea salt, brown butter, and vanilla on the pallet.
Great rum, sweetness but not too much, great aroma
This rum leaves a strong impression. First sip near you can feel the burn and oak sharply, with a tingle on the tongue. Then it fades to the notes of caramel and brown sugar with a finish of spice. A little rest opens this rum considerably, but it’s a solid contender for sipping and mixed drinks alike.
Great sipping rum. Not too sweet. Super smooth. Just enough burn and a slight sweetness on the finish to make it memorable. Madly recommend. Yummmm!
A sweet almost perfumed like aroma is followed by some oak, a little spice and a lovely waft of light vanilla.
"The initial sip gives a sweet yet slightly peppery entry. Running alongside these flavours is a subtly creamy vanilla note which runs right through the rum. The finish is long and peppery."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Major disappointment for the price

For over $50 a bottle I expected something better than what was in the bottle (a very nice bottle incidentally -- worth saving and reusing after scraping the lettering off -- BTW, make sure you have it on a sturdy flat surface because the artificial cork they use has a tight...and I mean TIGHT...fit). A rather dry Puerto Rican rum with very strong oak flavor...more akin to a bourbon than a rum IMHO. Not necessarily a bad thing if you also like bourbon...I do not. Some will probably like this as a sipping rum but for it's too harsh for sipping and needs to be mixed or added to Coke Zero. [NOTE: Just added 3oz to a 16.9oz bottle of Coke Zero -- definitely an improvement.]
