Diplomatico Reserva rum is distilled from molasses using both copper pot and column stills. The rum is then aged in small oak casks for between 2 and 8 years before blending and bottling.

Déception à la première dégustation. Je le privilégie pour les cocktails. Osez le sacrilège de l'utiliser en remplacement d'un rhum agricole pour le ti punch.

I have to compare this to Bacardi 8. Decent rum for sipping.
Better than alot of others, but not the depth of the better aged rums. The Exclusiva is much better

Pleasant and light rum, i prefer this one than the reserva exclusiva.

This good rum can be drunk on the rocks, however quite a bit of alcohol taste. I love this with cola and a lot of ice! Can be mixed with a stronger concentration of rum and still be very drinkable.

A nice light and airy rum. Not bitter or sharp. There's nothing in it that really stand out for me other than a lingering something that I can't quite hit on. I had this rum with a cheese fondue and it paired quite nicely.

Nez :
Nez concentré où émanent surtout le pruneau, le tabac brun et le caramel cuit.
Bouche :
En bouche, l’attaque est plutôt sèche,mais très fruitée. Se développe ensuite une belle richesse aromatique, dominée par les fruits cuits, voire compotés (poire, pomme, pruneau) mais aussi la banane et la vanille. L’ensemble est tannique, voire un peu astringent, mais présente aussi une certaine rondeur très séduisante.
Couleur :
Couleur ambrée fauve, aux reflets rougeâtres.
Finale :
La finale est d’une remarquable persistance, marquée par le fruit mais aussi par le poivre et les épices qui en prolongent la persistance.
