Well that's a terrific Rum ! A great choice to sip "straight from the bottle" ;)
On it's own it would deserve may be an 8/10, but it's very fair price makes it win the extra point to 9/10.
Sweet, subtile, balanced, a great choice for an everyday Rum !

This rum serves like a benchmark to me. It's a good sipping rum for a decent price. There's a lot of better ones but you can always have a dram and you'll enjoy it.

This rum isn't for me it's a bit dry and notes like wine.

Diplomatico is a great introductory rum tuned to the American palate. When someone's only rum experiences are with Captain Morgan and Bacardi, this is a great intro to some of the flavors rum can bring. The more experience I get with the spirit the less I enjoy the overwhelming sweetness Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva brings, but it will always have a place close to my heart for opening the door to rum for me.

Smooth at first, with flavors of smoke, vanilla, a little dark chocolate, and some fruitiness with some coffee notes near the end.

This was my first foray into sipping rum and it did not disappoint.

I'll always have a fifth of Diplomatico in my liquor cabinet. I enjoy it neat in a lowball or snifter.

Easily the best rum I have tasted. Being a rum newbie this is by far the bestest(!) rum of them all. Price and quality match awesomely. :-)

It's very good but a bit strong in taste. I would say that Diplomatico Mantuano is a little bit better because it's more delicate and soft. Reserva Exclusiva is good but El Dorado 12 is the best one for me for now.

I am new to Rum, I found Bacoo 12 year which I have been drinking wanted to try something rated a little higher so bought this. I like this a lot but doing a side by side with the Bacoo - I will stick with that, This has nice color, caramel smell and is smooth. It has a lot of after taste so not as clean as my other favorite. The after taste is strong molasses. Good rum but could be better. I will keep trying new rums until I find that I love better than Bacoo.
