Venezuela | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot Still Distilled
Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum is distilled from molassis in copper pot stills and then aged in small oak casks for on average 12 years before being bottled.
Produced in Venezuela, which has a rich rum history dating to 1896, the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva distillery is located on the northern slopes of the Andes mountains.

Much like Reserva, but slightly better. Especially taste was much more mature, not too sweet.

I have tried a lot of rums which are deemed great, however this was the first true "sipping rum" which was super smooth with interesting complex notes which remained affordable without going crazy and spending a fortune. It would a complete travesty to drink this mixed with anything except a couple of ice cubes. Don't hesitate. Buy this if you are looking for a great rum for yourself or a gift.

Sie hatten recht, die Stimmen als sie sagten. Man muss ihn mal probiert haben. Und auch mit den Worten ab hier wird der Anspruch* und Genuss nur noch besser. Werde nun immer eine flasche im Vorrat behalten. v1.0

Vůně zralých banánů a vanilky. Jemná sladká chuť ovoce. Příjemně zahřívá. V porovnání s Diplomatico reserve mnohem zajímavější.

Have heard much about this bottle and is not a bad sipper! Has an apple brown sugar aroma and changes slightly as it sits for awhile. Sweet on the tongue with a slight heat aftertaste. Mellows a bit with ice cube and a bit of time. Good but not top 10!

The 2014 all star. A rhum you have to have tasted.

This is for me the star of 2014, all of a sudden every one knew it, had tasted it and had a bottle of it somewhere.
The succes is deserved as this is a good rhum, very sweet with vanilla notes and nearly no alcohol feeling.
This is the reason of the 8 grade, I feel like it is too sweet, with my friends we call it the "sirop pour la toux", as it is so sugarish that you sometimes feel like sipping some caramel.
But priced at 36€, you get a very good bang for your bucks.
