Venezuela | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot Still Distilled
Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum is distilled from molassis in copper pot stills and then aged in small oak casks for on average 12 years before being bottled.
Produced in Venezuela, which has a rich rum history dating to 1896, the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva distillery is located on the northern slopes of the Andes mountains.

I have tried a lot of rums which are deemed great, however this was the first true "sipping rum" which was super smooth with interesting complex notes which remained affordable without going crazy and spending a fortune. It would a complete travesty to drink this mixed with anything except a couple of ice cubes. Don't hesitate. Buy this if you are looking for a great rum for yourself or a gift.

Sie hatten recht, die Stimmen als sie sagten. Man muss ihn mal probiert haben. Und auch mit den Worten ab hier wird der Anspruch* und Genuss nur noch besser. Werde nun immer eine flasche im Vorrat behalten. v1.0

Vůně zralých banánů a vanilky. Jemná sladká chuť ovoce. Příjemně zahřívá. V porovnání s Diplomatico reserve mnohem zajímavější.

Probably the smoothest rum I ever drank. Sweet vanilla tones.. perfect on the rocks

Have heard much about this bottle and is not a bad sipper! Has an apple brown sugar aroma and changes slightly as it sits for awhile. Sweet on the tongue with a slight heat aftertaste. Mellows a bit with ice cube and a bit of time. Good but not top 10!

Rich golden thick rum. Quite fragrant for a rum (sweet). Smooth, low burn and not too much of a kick. I find it has a heavy molasses-y flavour rather lighter caramel. Maybe a very slight metallic/copper taste if I had to say anything bad about it.
This is my go-to if I'm to recommend a sipping rum to a friend who typically doesn't like to sip due to its inoffensive qualities.
The best part about this rum is the price compared to the quality. Well worth it.
