Venezuela | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot Still Distilled
Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum is distilled from molassis in copper pot stills and then aged in small oak casks for on average 12 years before being bottled.
Produced in Venezuela, which has a rich rum history dating to 1896, the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva distillery is located on the northern slopes of the Andes mountains.

barva - krvavě červená
vůně - rumově sladká, ovšem ne zase tak moc hutná jako třeba u Zacapy - karamelový syrup, dub, náznak marshmallow, višně, citrusy
chuť - rumovost, krémová čokoláda, višně naložené v alkoholu, pomeranče, dřevitost, lehce koření
dozvuk - dlouhý - třtinový syrup, koření a lehce citrusové ovoce v závěru
hodnocení - zajímavé pití - v chuti osciluje od tónů macerovaného ovoce až po kořeněnou sladkost a to včetně dozvuku

Plutôt doux, mais pas trop sucré. Assez facile à boire, mais pas "plat".

Een fles waar ik al lang naar verlang. Het verlangen werd alleen maar groter wanneer de kurk 'gepopt' werd. Een mysterieuze ietwat zoetere geur doet de nieuwsgierigheid aanwakkeren. De diepbruine kleur zorgt voor een erg smakelijk uitzicht.
Een complexe, zoete smaak met heel wat body als je hem puur drinkt, met cola erbij komt er zelfs wat tabak naar boven op het einde...
Een leuke fles met een goede en lekkere rum, lekker voor 'sipping'. Een zachte en toch volwassen smaal. Een terechte en welverdiende score.

My friends keep this around just for me. I know they always have it. It is a bit sweet for my taste but serves as a great sipper.
