This is an excellent rum, to my taste much better than Zacapa or Santa Teresa. Very easy to drink, smooth and rich on the palate. Easily my all time favorite.

My crew of "aged rum" aficionados love this rum. I like it but it's not my favorite. A little sweet for my tastes but very nice, smooth and delicious.

God hverdags rom. ikke for kraftig og ikke for sød. Lige i øjet efter min smag.
Very nice color and a good sweetness. I smell at first caramel then vanilla and banana. It's like the first rum i drink without coke and i was compare it to Appleton Estate 12 years and it is so mutch finer and sweeter than the Appelton.
So for my beginning i like the Diplomatico the best.

Tried this rum when out to dinner recently. Was enjoyable and had a very smooth finish, I would definitely give it another go or grab a bottle for home

Le Diplomatico m'a fait tomber amoureux du Rhum.
Autant à humer (caramel, vanille, noisette), qu'à déguster.

After reading some of the recommendations for sampling this rum I wanted to try it as a sipper and damn if they weren't right this is great on its own. I even added a twist of lime and damn again. Keep calm and sample on.
I admit I'm biased when it comes to this rum it was one of my first sipping rums I loved it then and I love it now. It's very sweet definitely a dessert rum perfect for a night cap or having a few after dinner. Some people complain about the added sugar but you know what I don't care ! It's delicious ! Drink straight or on the rocks don't mix this rum especially with Cola it would be a shame
Nose: a pleasure to nose lots of caramel and nuttiness
Taste: it's basically liquid candy Caramel, vanilla and walnuts
Throat: dangerously smooth kinda scary actually haha
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is nice, it’s definitely a very different rum, very rich and creamy! It’s not too sweet but very little burn. The main things that come to mind are creamy vanilla and very bitter dark chocolate. Orange and ginger are also noticeable. I like this because it’s different but that’s it! Personally it’s not to high on my go to list but as far as complexities and variation this is the best on my shelf.
