Best white rum I have ever tasted. So smooth and neat, great for daiquiris, great with rum and coke. This rum is so smooth I've even tried a few cocktails with it in place of vodka. For 24$ it is my go to white rum, and a great choice for any occasion, full marks.

I am so surprised how great this rum is. Smooth, slightly spicy, light molasses finish. Really enjoyable to sip all day at a BBQ with a few ice cubes. I tried it also with a tough of coke, and not a great mix - prefer on the rocks. I could see it being fantastic in a mojito

Now this is some good stuff. It's a white rum straight which it is what it is, little too much of a bite but with a touch and I mean a touch of coke this really becomes a one to many by accident type of drink. It's almost like long island iced tea when in coke with a rum after taste, in fact it's so good me typing this made me go get another one. It has both a dry initial taste and then follows up with a sweet after taste, that's amazing how they did it. No bold body to this one, it aims for a VERY crisp taste. Think like Sprite kind of taste and body and to me that makes it bold in it's own sense. This one gonna be a staple. I would rate 10/10 if it was better neat.

Got this one named Botucal instead. It's the same rum, have been told its doing to some German restrictions that its named Botucal instead of Diplomatico.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm not partial to white/silver rums. I find most of them only suitable as mixers.

This is an exception.

Diplomatico, one of my favorite brands, has a winner here. The aroma is crisp and clean with a little alcohol pungency. The flavor here is a winner...a white rum worthy of sipping status...and I haven't taken such a stance with any white/silver rum prior to this one. This is a well-aged rum although how long is not known. I couldn't even guess. But unlike most white/silver rums I've tried, this one is rather smooth with no harsh burn. The flavor is rather simple. Sugar cane sweetness balanced well with an oak undertone. This is a buttery rum with subtle vanilla and caramel undertone. If you come across a bottle of this, you would not be amiss to buy it. I am confident you would not be disappointed. I could see this being used as a mixer but I would encourage you to try it on the rocks or neat.

This is one of my favorite white rums. It mixes clean with just about anything that I have tried.
