Diplomatico Anejo is a 4-year old golden rum from Venezuela. It is the youngest of the Diplomatico rum family and is medium-bodied.

Det er en og samme rom, Butocal og Diplomatico. Hvorfor de så har valgt at give dem 2 forskellige navne ved jeg så ikke.
Glæder mig til at smage på den her i aften, og giver lige mit besyv med når jeg har gjort det :)

This is a younger rum with much flavor. This is a mediocre sipper or shot rum. There is a lot of decent flavor and a classic molasses rum taste. The price point raises my score on this as it is quite cheap.

This is a nice rum in the Diplomatico line, it has good color, vanilla and carmel notes, smoothness and a moderate finish. This rum can be had on the rocks or best served up for a very good Cuba Libre. For the money ~ $20ish, it serves both purposes in a pinch.
Bonne qualité pour une petite cuite toute en subtilité

Not a bad choice for exploring anejo rum. It has a subtle wood-earth taste that is more apparent when served neat and even more evident when served neat with a little water.

Rarement décus par diplomatico, et ce premier prix n'est certe pas un grand des grand mais il fait plaisir devant un bon film

Quite astringent at the front and the nose gives this away, nice molasses with a little butterscotch. A solid mixer. Bottle is quite nice with cork seal looks excellent on the shelf while it lasts. Wont be my go to regular Rum but quite acceptable for variety

Not to hot straight, carmel flavors, these flavors disappear in coke. Coke seems to overpower this rum.

I tasted it in s flight so, that may mislead me but overall it was a VERY good one that can be taken without ice or coke. It is swell balanced, nice sweetness and full texture. I liked it!!
The taste straight is fairly rough,.
"Mixed with a little cola the rum is fairly similar in some respects to Chairman’s Reserve, it has some smokiness to it, it’s quite rough (a man’s drink) but not in a bad way."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

For me this is good every day rum. I got a couple high end rums on my trip to Cartagena but I was going through those too quickly. I picked this up as an everyday rum. It does the job. It doesn't blow me away but it is solid. Nice amber color with a little bit of syrupy sweetness.
