Diplomatico Ambassador Selection

This is one of the best rum I've had to date, and I've tried a lot of good ones. It has an amazing smell of rich butter toffee, caramel, and butterscotch, with a light sherry taste that isn't strong enough to detract from the rum. Taste is an amazing follow up to the nose. Strong at 43%abv, but so good the added strength is perfect. Would pair well with a fine cigar. Simply an amazing rum.

Che dire........mai assaggiato un Rum migliore, e' stato un impatto clamoroso.
Il gusto e' decisamente dolce, vanigiato e si sente anche marcatamente il legno delle botti, poi arriva il retrogusto, soprattutto sapore di caffe'.
Chi ha soldi deve provarlo, e' una spesa non indifferente, almeno per le mie tasche, ma il palato ringraziera'

Neskutečný zážitek ochutnat tento rum. Jen cena je už dle mě hodně vysoká. Při této ceně pořídím 2 možná 3 lahve stejného chuťového zážitku. Každopádně jeden z nej co jsem kdy zkusil

The best rum I tried so far. Very elegant and smooth yet complexed. Need some rest in the glass to release the aromas and flavors. Expensive.

This is very pricey but it is one of the best rums i have ever had.

Even though this category of rums isn't my favorite this was an experience. I tasted this on a Diplomatico tasting event and I was totally blown away. It had a distinct but much more elegant Diplomatico taste, and then after your first inhale after swallowing the taste turned a 180 and became something completely different. Oak, and sweetness that lingered long after you've swallowed. Magnificico! Bravisimo! Excelencio!

After 40-50 rums over the last 3 years this is it. My first and maybe only 10. From our group of four , ALL four found it the best we ever tasted. I don't want to spoil the taste. If you are serious about rum, buy it eyes closed, taste it eyes closef and enjoy the trip this rum will take you. I was surprised it didn't folow the orange and green diplomatico taste. It's a taste on its own.
