Dictador XO Insolent

Con La Hechicera y Parce, los mejores rones colombianos. Un balance muy agradable. Pura miel, como para tomarlo en pequeños sorbos.

Der Dictador XO Insolent war einer der mildesten und weichsten Rums die ich je probiert habe.

Meine Verkostungsnotiz dazu war: Liebstöckel,Holz,sehr trocken und sehr mild

Liebstöckel ist zwar nicht der Geschmack den ich außerhalb von Suppen bevorzuge, aber trotzdem
ist dies ein absoluter Premium Rum!

Zuckerzusatz laut Internetrecherche 4g pro Liter, was bei dieser geringen Menge durchaus natürlichen Ursprungs sein kann.

As I said in my review of dictador 12, I like coffee. Concetrated coffee, italian kind of ristretto, especially after a good meal, on a late evening. This 12-year version tastes caramel, dark chocolate and coffee, which is my profile. So, if you're like me, do not hesitate ! The Insolent version is much more expensive and is more powerful, clearer in the flavors.So, I appreciated it. This is however not a rum for any rum drinker. Not a jamaican style, not a real spanish, not an agricole type either. It is very original. Is this worth the difference of price ??? Up to you but I tried the 20-year version and it is a good compromise !!

It is strongest version fo Dictador 20. Same good choice/Nuts and oak taste. Thats why columbian Style of rum is one of my favourite for winter in north EU :D

Taste and aroma is good. Worth to try.

Powerful but complex aromas, on the nose. Smooth sipping rum that is frankly, amazing. It has good burn that’s offset by the smoothness of the flavors and the aftertaste lingers warmly and pleasantly.

The most prominent flavor is butterscotch. It’s got caramel notes and it took me a bit to place the flavor of butterscotch since I wasn’t expecting it, but it’s super tasty.

Less sweet than Diplomatico Ambassador but with more pronounced flavors. This is my new favorite, although, it doesn’t diminish the other rums in my collection.

From the firt taste you can feel a lot of chocolate and sweet tones. You will not believe, that there is no added sugar...
Other (fruity) tones are showing up in finish. Not bad, but I'm not friend of chocolate, therefore 1point down.

The Dictador XO Insolent is a Solera rum made from sugar cane honey. The age of the rums used should be between 20-35 years! For storage, classic used oak barrels but also sherry and port wine barrels were used. These are burned out to get sweet caramel notes. The insolent is bottled with 40% alcohol. No colors or sweeteners are added. Unfortunately, the silver bottle is a matter of taste. The cardboard is stylish and looks high quality.

In the nose, the Insolent is very nice. Soft come notes of caramel, oak, honey, molasses and also some smoke. Pleasant and productive, the rum envelops the nose. On the palate, the rum shows what it has to offer. Balanced and creamy, it gives notes of chocolate, toffee, mocha, milk coffee and caramel. Honey and oak notes dance and are captured by light smoke notes. Buttery, the alcohol releases its heat without burning the base. This rum does not know sharpness. For me, only the leather and the coffee are a little too intense again. It is more balanced than the 20-years old. The Rum has a lot of body and brings a soft complexity that does not want to upset.

It's not my favourite rum but this is personal taste and I can't help but acknowledge that it is a good rum. He is ideal for an evening with a good friend. Delicious and complex enough. But also not cheap.

Der Dictador XO Insolent ist ein Solera Rum aus Zuckerrohr Honig. Das alter der verwendeten Rums soll zwischen 20-35 Jahre liegen! Zur Lagerung wurden klassische Eichenfässer aber auch Sherry und Portwein Fässer genutzt. Diese werden ausgebrannt um süße karamellige Noten zu erhalten. Der Insolent wird mit 40% Alkohol abgefüllt. Es werden keine Farb oder Süßstoffe hinzugefügt. Die silberne Flasche ist leider Geschmackssache. Der Karton ist stilvoll und wirkt hochwertig.

In der Nase ist der Insolent sehr angenehm. Weich kommen Noten von Karamel, Eiche, Honig, Melasse und auch etwas Rauch. Angenehm und ergiebig umgarnt der Rum die Nase. Am Gaumen zeigt der Rum was er zu bieten hat. Ausgewogen mild und cremig gibt er Noten von Schokolade, Toffee, Mokka, Milchkaffee und Karamel ab. Honig und Eichennoten tanzen und werden von leichten Rauchnoten eingefangen. Butterweich gibt der Alkohol seine Wärme ab ohne den Ansatz zu brennen. Schärfe kennt dieser Rum nicht. Und auch etwas Leder. Hier finde ich ausgewogener als den 20er. Der Rum ist vollmundig mit viel Körper die eine weiche Komplexität mitbringt, welche nicht aufregen möchte.

Es ist nicht mein Lieblingsrum aber das ist persönlicher Geschmack und ich kann nicht anders als anzuerkennen was für ein guter Rum der Insolent ist. Er ist Ideal für einen Abend mit einem guten Freund. Lecker und komplex genug für einen gemütlichen Abend.

“ Honey, that’s amazing” my gal said as she handed me back my Norlan glass half filled with this rich and luxurious rum. Strong scents of maple,oak, cinnamon and honey with a nice little heat at the end. My gal knows her shit, give this rum a try!.... unfortunately after revisiting this rum later on I’ve found it quite sweet and somewhat boring in its coffee/oak molasses style. This rum is no more than an 8.

Ve vůni jsou cítit ořechy, vanilka a med. Barva tmavě jantarová. Chuť parádní jsou v cítit kava, vanilka, med. Nechápu ze muže byt tak příjemne sladký a přitom je nedoslazovany. Moc příjemne překvapeni.
