Dictador 20y krásně voní a má příjemnou, vyzrálou nasládlou chuť.

I’d probably rate this rum an 8 on the nose alone. The Intoxicating aroma of caramel/toffee really set the stage & the warming caramel & maple syrup tones on the palate were quite enjoyable. I assume this has a decent dose of sugar added, but I still found it to be super delish!

Not much to say about this rum. I just didn't find anything spectacular about it. Nothing especially bad either. More expensive than a Diplomatico, but deffinitely not better.

This is quite a unique rum with coffee notes both on the nose and palate together with oak, maple syrup and milk chocolate. What a nice dram. It tastes amazing on a old fashioned but I would keep it neat as the price for a bottle is quite high.

First Dictador tasting been reading good things about them. Very smooth rum first taste of caramel on my tongue, reminiscent of Papa Pilar in a much better way. Pilar taste fake and I want to pour it on my pancakes only. This is much more refined and enjoyable. After trying again leaves a strange aftertaste and initial caramel tastes artificial. Not for me at this price point.

The sugar cane honey of the Dictador 20years was distilled in pot and column style and was allowed to store the full 20 years in burnt-out oak barrels in Colombia. Solera means that the Angel Share is replenished by younger rums. There is no added sugar or dye. The rum has 40% alcohol and is also delivered in a black bottle. This time with a blue label.

After disliking the 12-year-old Dictador, I was a bit nervous. But it was worth it. In the nose, the 20-year-old is much more balanced and much more complex. Caramel, wood, honey, sugar cane and dark chocolate are recognizable. Over time, woody and spicy notes are added. On the palate, a nice composition affects the taste buds. Sweet caramel notes, mocha with burnt hazelnut. Cocoa and oak. Leather is included. This time very well embedded. It is silky and full-bodied and now I can also taste coffee. The finish is long with more sharpness. It is accompanied by pepper, wood and chocolate.

I wouldn't have expected the 20-year-old Dictador to be so much more grown-up, sensual and even more complex. This is where the longer storage is clearly noticeable. The surcharge is therefore worthwhile and the money is well invested. Actually, the taste of the dictador is not quite what I was looking for, but he convinced me. No classic sweet rum.

Halt was komplett eigenes.

Already in aroma you can detect typical Dictador tone. Taste is smooth, sweeter with coffee and chocolate tones. Aftertaste is average. Better than 12y but not too much.

The flavor is close to Dictador 12 year. However, this one has more mild taste and rich.
It has nice chocolate, coffee and custerd flavor. and also has the flavor of wood.

Kryddig och vanilj. Lite kaffe och lakrits. En bra Rom.

If you've had the 12yo, this is like that but more!

The nose is prune-like Christmas cake, which is carried through on the palate, along with hints of coffee. It is incredibly smooth, with the hit of alcohol coming at the back end. A beautiful long finish.

It may not be everyone's style, but even if not, the high class of distilling should be plain to see.
