Dictador Solera Distillery Icon Reserve 20-Year

I love to pop the cork on a bottle of Dictador 20 year old and jut smell the aromas wafting upwards. The first you will notice is the strong coffee scent, almost kaluha like that initially greets you. Creamy toffee and banana are interlaced in there as well.
Pouring a glass is a treat with it's dark, rich appearance....swirling the glass produces lovely long legs and more enticing aromas of Coffee, bananas, toffee and tobacco.
A very lovely rum to sip over ice indeed and even mixes very well with coke if you are so inclined.

It has a very light nose that I can’t place but seems to be a little woody. It is very smooth with a unique taste with a little bite as it goes down. No heat and the aftertaste fades pretty quick. A nice pleasant rum with a unique taste.

Můj čtvrtý rum a chuť pro mě byla obrovským překvapení. Není nějak příliš sladký a je hodně cítit káva a med. Bohužel jsem začátečník, tak to nedokážu zatím více popsat... jedině že je hladký, že v krku nedrhne.

This 'was' a great bottle. I really have enjoyed the 12 year, despite its initial chemically smell and taste, just have to let it breathe for a while, better with time.This however was excellent from the bottle, a rich, not overly sweet advancement on the 12. For a little more, you are getting a seriously premium tasting rum.

Le 12 ans est déjà très bon, mais le 20 est au dessus : longueur en bouche plus longue, palette aromatique plus large. Un vrai rhum!!!

Love this Rum, smooth, butterscotch, sweet, full flavor, long finish... enjoy!

Ein komplexer, vielschichtiger Rum mit Noten von Karamell, süssen Vanilletönen und Kaffeearomen. Sehr ausgewogen und delikat, mit langem, würzig-süssem Nachklang.

On the nose, notes of tangerine. On the palate some sweetness, old wood, burnt molasses, raisins and a lot of depth, . Similar depth to Pampero or K&S 18yo and a flavor profile mid-way between Pampero and El Dorado 12yo but not as sweet.
