The rum tastes fine but I would expect it to be more complex. It has dominant notes of instant coffee. It is thick and sweet, which makes it difficult to believe that this rum would be unsweetened, like the producer claims.

The nose, after letting it open up for a few minutes, smells like opening a bag of moist brown sugar. Taste like you took that same brown sugar and melted it down into caramel over an open fire

I tried dictador 12 after tasting the 20 year old release, so it seemed to me watery and with subtle notes of coffee, smoke and leather. Quite good but very lacking in flavor.

Great nose of toffee/burt sugar, smooth going down with hints of oak and spice mixed in. Similar to a few other rums in this price range, so nothing much stands out but good foe what it is.

All standard lines of dictadors tastes simillar to me. Coffee, chocolate, honey and walnuts. Little bit sweet but not so much. Overall composition of this one does not step from line. Good for coffee lovers.

If you like sweet, spicey rum this one is good choice. It have short taste and then you feel alcohol. Average rum.

Good spirit if you like coffee, very confusing for me, not the taste i expect for a rum but enjoyable.

Nose: Let the rum breathe for a while, then discover veery aromatic oakwood and maple syrup (although they donโt add lots of sugar)
Palate: very aromatic ๐ Begins a bit sharp, but not harsh, and a tiny bit oily. Finishes with some hints of tobacco, roasted coffee beans and oak. Very pleasant, lasts very long.
Positive: Comes in a black bottle: you donโt have to lock it away from light.
Sugar: only 0-5 gpl
This rum made me learn, that also a โdryโ rum with very little sugar added can taste pretty sweet.
