Dictador Solera Ultra Premium Reserve 12-Year

On the edge of the sweet side but feels like ... never really crossing the line! Now that's what makes this particular Rum an exceptional one!
Oak, dry fruits, dark chocolate in this superior, smooth liquid!
Would easily rate it more if only I was not such fan of sweet Rum ...

Overall, a Rum one MUST TREAT himself with.

Full taste with mokka tones vanilla brown sugar plus in the after taste you taste raizin

Its a yummy starter rum. not complex but still a great way to start a night

Strong coffee and caramel. Not balanced. Really cant say much more

Edit: hydrometertests show that this mostly all Dictadors contain no added sugar which in my case is a very big plus. It still tastes too artificially coffee and caramel-like for my taste

I highly recommend to try this rum at least once in a lifetime. Very surprising. The black bottle hides an original rum with aromas of licorice, molasses. A bit smoky with hints of cocoa and brown sugar. Medium bodied, it feels sweet, almost like oil in your mouth but with a very good feeling.
The finish might be a bit too short, but you do want to take another sip!
I recommend to try, unless you only like dry and/or non sweet rums.

I like smooth and sweet rums and Dictador is neither of them. For me it tastes too smoky, sharp and has also a bitter taste.
I think It is quality rum but not mean for me.

This rum is surprising. The bottle hides the colour. The name is not inviting. It has a little of everything. A bit sweet, a bit vanilla, a bit caramel, a bit woody. Smooth enough. I don't know the price but I recommend it straight on the rocks or with Sprite.

Færste tanke er valnød den er sprittet og dufter af cognac. Den er en smule tør, med bærsmag den er fed og olieret i munden. til sidst og slår over i kakao, med cognac eftersmag.
