Not bad but a bit soft for my taste I can’t distinguish a flavor.

Recenzie tohto kolumbijského rumu točia takmer výlučne o káve, tak sa poďme na to pozrieť zblízka. Fľaška šmrncovná, z tmavého skla a s úzkym hrdlom, starostlivo ukrýva nápoj vnútri. Po otvorení malého pravého korku veru ucítim espresso, ale hlavne VLAŠSKÝ ORECH. Bez debaty. A chuť to len potvrdzuje. Veľmi jemná, rozvíjať sa začne až po prehltnutí. Takto špecifickú orechovú vôňu som zatiaľ inde neidentifikoval. Rum je stredne nasladlý, tóny sú dosť úzke a jednoznačné, pochybujem, že časom odhalím okrem tých orechov viac ako stopy kávy a čokolády. Príjemné je postupné rozplývanie chute v ústach v trvaní desiatok sekúnd. Pôvodne som dal vyšší rating, neskôr som však už začal cítiť určitú umelosť, ktorá začne vadiť. Tak trochu sklamanie, aj vzhľadom k vyššej cene teda 6.

It has mild oak and brown sugar notes on the nose, smooth on the mouth but a little lacking in flavors.

Well 12yo Dictador is just not the best you can take, it wont harm you but i am sure you can buy better for the price.

Well it has body, very tastfull rum: I taste coffee, leather, sigars, oak, vanilla.
It is sweet, but not too much, little burn.
Just not for me, I'll pass.

First off, it is a wonderfully smooth rum with a good kick of alcohol in the tail, that gives a good length. It also helps prevent what is quite a sweet rum from being cloyingly sweet. And for me it is that sweetness that is its biggest fault. That's being a tad harsh, as in the scheme of things, there are far sweeter rums than this. It does detract a bit from the wonderful and multi-dimensional nose dominated by honey and coffee notes, which carries onto the palate.

A really good rum, that is just a wee bit too sweet for me.

Færste tanke er valnød den er sprittet og dufter af cognac. Den er en smule tør, med bærsmag den er fed og olieret i munden. til sidst og slår over i kakao, med cognac eftersmag.

Nose:6
Quite an unusual rum, heavy/sharp on the nose with notes of walnut nougat, marshmallow, and vanilla. No feeling of smoothiness that comes in mouth yet.
Palate:7
Complexity continues into the palate, where a heavy, Demerara sugar-fueled sweetness awaits. Notes of sweet cream and cinnamon stick give this a decadence usually only seen in ice cream or Mexican desserts, unctuous and becoming almost gaudy with its sweetness from the moment it hits the tongue.
Finish:6
Medium and sweet. On its own, Dictador 12 can be a bit overwhelming, some drop of water could solve the issue for unexperienced drinkers.

Goute le biscuit feuille d’erable. Pas mauvais du tout mais pas pour l’usage général.
