This is a nine-year-old agricole with lots of fruity aromas which, surprisingly, don't come through in the tasting. It's a very dry rum, bone dry in fact, and not at all vegetal like many younger agricoles. Imagine the dryest white wine you possibly can, then add black pepper, red pepper, ethanol, vanilla and oak. Bake it in wood for 9 years and voila. Not among my top-shelf faves but enjoyable and complex nonetheless. Better in cocktails than straight up.

7.5/10 This is, as others have already commented, quite a dry rum. Yet it is not too dry in my opinion, it is crisp, herbal and mineral, and quite austere for an agricole. It lacks the grassiness of a true agricole, but it does have some of the soft honey that I associate more with Bajan rums. Maybe I don't know enough about Haitian rums yet, but this seems quite unique to me. Bit light on the flavour though and not a very long finish. Still, decent stuff.
