15 years of greatness. Great taste very Smooth. Definitely doesn’t need to be mixed.

Super smooth and a smell of vanilla. Not too expensive and gives you a round taste

Touch of coffee and leather in the nose. Tastes of smoked wood, touch of vanilla, sandlewood, coffee... price/quality = good

Byl mi doporučen barmanem a rozhodně nezklamal, výborný rum, vyšší cena odpovídá kvalitě.

It has some similarities with Zacapa 23, it's younger and less sweet. The smell is very good.
The taste is also good but not as sweet as Zacapa 23.
I think this one is much better than Zacapa 12. This is my personal Zacapa 15 :)
I like it. Very good value for money.
Ron Botran 1893 solera (18y) is more intensive and better, but i like this one also.

Smell: caramel, vanilla, orange, herbs, lard/fat, wood
Taste: caramel, burned suggar, apricot, wood/cask, spice, some dry fruit (plum)
Aftertaste: watery caramel and burned suggar, plum (dark fruit)

Sweetness: 1.5/5
Fruit: 2.5/5
Spice: 2.5/5
Mildness: 3.5/5

It is one of the best cost benefit equation. A very balanced rum. Nice color, nice aroma and some tasty flavor. Very good rum.

I was told this rum was more toward the “spiced” spectrum, but found nothing like it. Nevertheless, its a good bottle, little overpriced.

This stuff is almost impossible to find where I am from (Canada) but when I am in the Turks and Caicos this is my go to rum. It is not made in the TCI, their local rum is Bambarra, but that stuff cannot hold a candle to this. This makes an OK sipping rum but has a slightly harsh nose to it and lacks in the subtle flavors a lot of sipping rums have, TBH for sipping rums there are better out there. If there was a "pure" rum taste, this is probably it. Think the "rum" flavor in rum and raisin ice cream, this is it. As such it makes an amazing mixing rum as the strong rum flavor comes through and represents itself well. In a Cuba Libre or even a daiquiri this rum will represent itself well.

All the four Dominican "B"'s- Botran, Brugal, Bermudez, Barcelo, make excellent quality rums in the upper tier products of their lines.
This is quite tasty.
Drink neat, a few drops of water, wait a few minutes, it will really open up.
Great price for a top rum

I do not have a clear memory of this one but I can remember I appreciated it.

Notes of the oak barrels, candied fruit flavors and spices. Reminds a lot about zacapa 21

It truly is a surprise how close the 15 and the 12 year Botran are flavor profilewise. Neither is really a neat sipper since the alcohol smell and taste is rather strong and the burn at the end is not a nice surprise. Mix it with Coke and you will have a glimmer of hope.

Similar setup but bit harsher than zacapa 23 - still pretty sweet

Well balanced, not so sweet, decent burn. Still worse than botran reserva.

This rum is nice with a nose of caramel and vanilla.
However, it is a bit short in the taste. It is probably an okay rum for most, but nothing special.

Rozhodně jemnější než Zacapa 23 a proto mi chutná víc. 7b za pořizovačku do 700kč přidávám na 7,4b.

Nedoporučuju těm co hledají sirupy :-)

Great rum! Really warms you inside with every sip. Strong but subtle with a caramel taste. Great bottle to bring camping with some old college buddies
