This stuff is almost impossible to find where I am from (Canada) but when I am in the Turks and Caicos this is my go to rum. It is not made in the TCI, their local rum is Bambarra, but that stuff cannot hold a candle to this. This makes an OK sipping rum but has a slightly harsh nose to it and lacks in the subtle flavors a lot of sipping rums have, TBH for sipping rums there are better out there. If there was a "pure" rum taste, this is probably it. Think the "rum" flavor in rum and raisin ice cream, this is it. As such it makes an amazing mixing rum as the strong rum flavor comes through and represents itself well. In a Cuba Libre or even a daiquiri this rum will represent itself well.
Traído de Guatemala por mi hermano es digno representante de las tierras centro americanas. No se puede dejar de probar
It is one of the best cost benefit equation. A very balanced rum. Nice color, nice aroma and some tasty flavor. Very good rum.
The reserva is named now as 15 years, it is bit woody and strong rum in nose, great citric profile on the taste, the brand advises to mix with orange peel or any other minimal stuff (probably bitters, old fashion, etc)
However I think it is an awesome rum for a incredible price
The cork was rotted, had to scoop it out, strain the rum, and pour it back in. First shot went down like 90 proof with an aftertaste of upchuck. I put the bottle in its bag to return to the liquor store. Then when I realized I had nothing else to drink in the house, filled another glass, and weird, it tasted great, smooth all the way. Not quite sure what miracle took place here, but this is actually really good stuff, dark and heavy, at a really affordable price.
Tres parfumé, se boit sec ou en cocktail. Un delice en digestif !
This rum was recommended to me by the a cashier at the Mill Valley Market At Mill Valley California and for the price it was Fantastic! Love the aromas of vanilla and caramel is very smooth love this find. The cashier was right on this one.
Very nice taste and smell! A really good one! Just enjoy it! :-)
Ron de Guatemala, note de vanille et caramel soupçon d'épices très agréable à boire, pour ma part pur car assez bon que pour être dégusté tel quel! Je valide et conseille ce Ron!
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I was told this rum was more toward the “spiced” spectrum, but found nothing like it. Nevertheless, its a good bottle, little overpriced.
