Gold of Mauritius Solera 5-Year

Spøjs rom fra et mindre kendt område. Har svært ved at blive klog på den men lander på 6, selvom jeg nærmest har en ny mening hver gang jeg smager den.

A strong and yet smooth rum. Not my favorite but would definitely drink it again.

Whaum der havde jeg nære mistet min næsehår. Den er meget sprittet i duften.
Krydderet i smagen og en lang sød eftersmag. Ikke nogen speciel stor rom oplevelse.

Well balanced taste, aroma with experience. Connected with Rome.

Not bad for a 5 but has a dryness that I'm really not fan of. Almost reminded me of a smoother Bundy.

This a very fine rum for sipping for a 5 year. Good well compete with older rums. At the smell, there a note of hazenut and banana. At the taste, i found that there was a predominant taste of banana which caught me by suprise with a hint of smoked vanilla and coconut. The only downside is the short ending which lacks that complexity. But i would still say one of the best rum i have tried at this stage. A must in a bar but still a bit expensive.

Den är helt klart en bra rom och trotts att den bara är 5 år en konkurrent till de rom som är betydligt äldre.

Lucky enough to try this at the tasting room in Mauritius, Leather / tobacco aroma and surprisingly smooth for a 5yr old. Brought a bottle home which has since been finished :(

Pretty well balanced with only one bad thing - aftertaste was really short.

Un rhum assez intéressant! En bouche, on reconnaît la noix! Très chaleureux en bouche!
