Beautiful mahogany color with golden reflections. The nose is very greedy, on the almond, honey, banana and sweets of our childhood. The sugar cane is very discreet. There are also notes of tobacco and brown sugar. On the palate, it sticks well to the palate, very sweet with notes of licorice, wood and leather after a certain time. Very nice length in the mouth. Excellent rum.

For me this is the top of the top. Master of what a top class rum looks like. Absolutely mind blowing delicious… only one big disappointment is that the bottle is to small :-)

Casked 28 Nov 2003 ex-Cognac Oak

There are at least three cask bottlings - based on photos - all 50cl 47.8%
2003-6 Bottled 18 Jun 2015
2003-9 Bottled 20 July 2016
FRA 1421-3 Bottled 11 Sep 2017 to 1100 bottles (my bottle)

2003 is also avaiable with a Sauternes finish.
Interesting that the previous Single Cask from 1998 was also at 47.8%.
Would be good to see a Cask Strength Single Cask appear.
