Just back from this years rumcruise at the Baltic Sea with Birka cruises. It’s a fantastic opportunity to taste new rum, rarities and old favourites. I attended at two Master classes and in the one with the theme diversity of rum were this one representing young Agricole Rhum.
I have never before tasted something so good as this just matured 3 years.
The aroma and palate is dominated by fruit, vanilla and wood. In the quite long afterburn it’s quite spicy.
Liked it so much so I had to bring a bottle home.

N- Oozing with summer fruits, lime and soursop, chalky layer between charming blueberry and citrus extract. Farm-y agricole notes of dry sunburning reeds, very tropical. Evolving to dark chocolate, buttery creamy ice cream with whiff of gunpowder. Lime cordial with oak at tail. (91/22)
P- Well filled with charming tropical fruits, semi aggressive, sweet but not cloy, bright with lightness for relaxing mouthfeel. (87/21)
F- Medium, well integrated woody dry with mineral, ginger and fruits. (87/21)
Body/Balance- 88/22. Well symphonize, full of tropical fruits and pleasing.
Weighted Rate- 86pt

Enjoyed a bottle of Rhum Bielle Ambre while vacationing in Sardinia. Bottle and label design is very bland. Golden amber color. Very reasonable EUR 18 price. Typical dry notes from the Rhum Agricole manufacturing process straight to the nose and palate. Quite a burn at the end.
