Fantastic flavour, and a great spiced rum! Not too sweet like some other spiced rums.
Smells and tastes like neutral spirit with essence added. Very syrupy, overly sweet. Not reminiscent of rum.
I hadn't headed in expecting too much, and it was just bought for mixing.
Despite that, it managed to completely under perform expectations. There are countless cheap bottles better suited to mixing. Don't buy this.
In the same class as Coruba Original. Just an average pleasant mixer with diet coke.
If you like dark rums (and I do) this is a great one. Good in a mix or on it's own.
Starts of well with molasses , caramel and spices but the aftertaste is not too pleasant unfortunately. Similar to Captain Morgan or Blackheart , good for mixing , not for sipping.. Go for the Gold , a much better product.
Enjoyable with coke and I will have it almost daily. Don't be shy and give it a try.
Good honest rum, not trying to be anything it isn't. When buying this you know you're going to be mixing it, & it does this well. For the price, I think it beats similar priced & tasting rums like Black Heart & Coruba. It is what it is. Nothing more, nothing less.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Ok as a port in a storm.

Happy to mix it with ginger beer to make my Dark & Stormies, not much cop as a sipper though.
