That's some good stuff
This is a great Rhum. It’s a blend of some of the best vintages from the Longueteau house. The blend consists of 70% 8yo, 20% 9yo and 10% 10yo. It’s aged in ex cognac oak barrels.
In nose the fruitiness dominates. It’s very subtle but a little weak.
In mouth and during the afterburn, which is quite long, you can recognize lots of different fruits, spices, some vanilla, some oak and hints of licorice.
It’s definitely one of the best Agricoles that I have tasted, but the weak nose makes me stop at a nine.
Pictures: My single bottles shelf per distillery at Guadeloupe & My opened bottle.
Visited the Longueteau Distillery in Guadeloupe and bought a bottle of Longueteau XO from the distillery. Very high end bottle and label design. Light golden color. Typical Rhum Agricole flavors alongside grass, fruits, vanilla and oak followed by a mild but dry burn. Rhum Agricole fans can easily add 2 points to my score.
