I’m not a scotch drinking in fact, I hate scotch 😬. This was reminiscent of scotch, a really peaty bog and totally NOT for me.
This is an artisanal small batch rum. I was given a 250 ml bottle after my son visited Tasmania. I do not know the price, but he informed me that it was the most expensive rum I had ever drank, so it must not be inexpensive. I am not sure if this rum is exported, but I understand that it is difficult to get. I drink my rum on the rocks and this drink is nice and smooth, but it seems to have a different aftertaste than I am used to. It is not a bad drink, but not one of my favorites.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A rare artisanal rum from Tasmania which I sourced through the Rum Club. It’s a malodorous beast that might appeal to whisky drinkers but which will wrench the neck of most rum drinkers as they recoil in horror. The taste is not much better, reminiscent of sulphurous, peaty bog water. Avoid at all costs...or I have a spare bottle if you’re really game.
