one of my favorite rums. Fine 50% :-) and citrus tones

Drew my attention in a local rum-store thru awesome, crystal-blue cask. (I have beautiful 2020 edition, if that matters.)
Better (sweeter, roundier) than most of white rums I've had (including "devil on wheels", red hi-esther South-African Mhoba). Very strong nose, classic raw destillation tones.
Still not a fan of whites. Perhaps they fit to me as one-sippers only. I am therefore somewhat indifferent about the quality, rating and general recommendation.
It was fun to try but it's gonna be here for long.

While this one is decent enough for sipping on its own, where it really shines is for a mixer or a Ti Punch.

Nice and juicy with all the grassy good the agricoles has.

Nose: Unsurprisingly, fresh sugar cane is the central aroma. Leaves and other sugar cane detritus are there, too. I am brought back to memories of walking around a rum distillery in the Philippines, watching machine-cut sugar cane being dumped by trucks. Surrounding that core are very soft hints of Yakult, mint, buttered popcorn, coriander, radish, and bell peppers. However, I feel that the central sugar cane note overpowers the rest too much.

Palate: The character follows the same pattern as the nose: A central flavor of grassy sugar cane flanked by subtle ginger, radish, orange zest, and lemongrass. Unfortunately, it's also quite linear and has a thin texture.

Finish: The taste of chewing on both fresh and dried leaves. Echoes of ginger, too. Long.

J'en ai le souvenir d'un retour fleuri dans le nez. Un doux souvenir. Pas mon préféré mais un bon rhum.

Nice, fresh, crisp agricole, with enough sweetness from the cane, mixed with grass, herbs, wet stone and seaspray. Lovely stuff.

As most agricoles has heavy funk on nose, taste isn’t as grassy as other clementes, finish is slight burn. Textbook agricole so if you’re into them add +2

Very sharp. Tastes better after a few sips. Recommended!
