Nose has a cool mixture going on; I get vanilla, grass and bourbon-caramel. As far as the taste goes, it actually comes across a lot like a normal strength version of Lost Spirits! Basically that means you get a nice back'n'forth between prunes and raisins, and vanilla custard. Not too hot, but quite prickly, stopping it from being a nice sipper, but could definitely be a great mixer!
Medium alcohol burn. Tropical fruit, banana and nuts. Not bad, not great
Much different funky, fruity taste than most rums I have had. I think it would make for a good mixer.
My first meeting with cachaca. Very interesting aroma of dried or overriped bananas. Taste is sweet, very intensive and a bit agressive (like agricole rums), but not in uncomfortable way. Aftertaste is long and dry. I'm not sure, but I think this is not meant to be drinked alone. Maybe it works better in cocktails, but for me was this experience interesting, although I tasted it as a sipper.
Although most are using cachaca as a mixer I am a dedicated sipper
And this one is a refreshing summer drink with some interesting complexity
Good quality pot still distillate gives it a full body and fine finish.
For me it's great straight or with a drop of iced water with lime juice
I get many of the same notes as the Novo Fogo Silver on this, but with a smoother midpalatte and slightly longer finish. Equally great in a caipirinha.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Part of the covid home rum tasting by Laka Lono in 2020.
My notes are devolving at this point, but I noted a round finish and the words "yum, yum!" with doodles of happy flowers. So this is a keeper.
