Cheap, forgettable Dominican. Some oak, sweetness, overall mild taste profile which resembles Brugal Anejo, it is of course young, so it adds some alcoholic burn to the aftertaste, but not too terrible, in coke it seems a bit lost. I am not sure where to put this, but definitely not in my shopping basket again. For me it is better than Brugal Anejo, but it is not a big praise.
Enjoyed a bottle of Cubaney Añejo 5y with my friend while vacationing in Punta Cana. Quite nice old school bottle and label design. Light golden color. Sweet notes to the nose and palate when neat sipped mixed with plenty of oak and unaged alcohol. Quite a kick at the end. Definitely much better when mixed with your favorite soda.
