Of all Koloa's over-sweetened rum, this one might actually not suffer from it. Yes, it is exceptionally sweet (still sweeter than I would prefer), and no doubt full of natural and artificial additives, but that coffee flavor is just so alluring. Flavors of rich, creamy coffee, with molasses and chocolate. Good for mixing in a wide variety of drinks, coffee-correcting, dessert-drizzling, or sipping neat or on the rocks.

I have never been a fan of Koloa's basic rums and the only way to improve them was by flavoring them with tropical ingredients like coconut. This one is flavored with genuine Kona coffee, the finest in the world. I rate it as a high 7, and almost an 8. No easy feat for a flavored rum. And I can now thank the two reviewers that mentioned how to always shake the bottle before pouring because the sediment tends to settle to the bottom of the bottle. This is good news, which means that this rum is flavored with the actual Kona coffee instead of an extract syrup. Since this coffee rum is so hard to find, I will savor every last drop of this $33 US bargain.

Not a huge fan of flavored rum but this is pretty good. Rich Kona coffee flavor. Good solid rum too. This would make an excellent mixer. You could also sip it Better on ice than neat.

I was really hoping this could be a good alternative to Kahlua since it has 34% ABV vs 20% ABV for Kahlua. The flavor profile is similar (very sweet), but I donโ€™t like this as well as Kahlua or Grind. Also, the contents in the bottle keep separating. The attached photos were taken about 1 day after remixing. If you let it sit for multiple days, more of the content settles out and really sticks to the bottom of the bottle.

This is a great example of a coffee rum. Though it's not as good as aged rums to me, it's still great as far as coffee rums go. An excellent coffee flavor, with just the right amount of sweetness.

Koloa makes the best Coconut rum I've tried, the best Dark rum I've tried, the best Spiced rum I've tried, and the best Coffee rum I've tried. I hope they're working on an aged rum... :-)

This liqueur has a wonderful, deep coffee flavor with just the right amount of sweetness (it is sweet no doubt) to round it out. Also getting hints of vanilla (maybe a slight hint of cinnamon?) too and the flavors linger on the palate for a good bit. It's a great sipper and make sure to shake before pouring as there is sediment on the bottom.

Great dessert sipper, if you could make a liquid tootsie roll rum, this would be it. More chocolate than coffee on my palate but a very rich but not overly sugary taste.

Agree with most reviewers a little too sweet for me however I feel most people would enjoy. Coffee flavor does set this apart and great for adding to coffee drinks after dinner.

My expectation wasn't high for this one but it actually is fine. For the money always go Diplomatico Reserva in my opinion. Having said that, this rum was not unpleasant and the strong coffee bean did sit well with a full flavor cigar so, under the right circumstances, I'd do it again.
