Smells of fig, honey, and ever so slight banana on the nose, taste is smooth with just a hint of oak, nuts, mixed fruits, and a sweet but smokey finish. Very interested to see how the taste profile changes as I consume the bottle, will update accordingly.
Well balanced flavour, sweet odoured.. just perfect
Having missed the 2014 edition I promptly bought this edition. Not disappointed at all. The fruit flavors a are present from the first taste. The vanilla is present without overtaking all the other flavors.
nice rum that's on the sweeter side.
a bit more complex than the 23 and the xo.
with a smoky taste and higher %
great for sipping.
Es un ron con más cuerpo que el Zacapa 23, más fuerte y con más olores. Pero la edición 2014 es mejor.
Duft: Lidt røget, sød.
Smag: Fed, lidt skarp og sød.
God eftersmag.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I'm sorry but I totally disagree with the other reviews !. I was intensely aware that this new Reserva Limitada has a great deal to live up to compared to its predecessors and I was not let down. It's colour it akin to the XO Zacapa with the NOSE having pineapple, mango, strawberry and the sweet smell of dried fruits and as it develops a bit you get wood charring and then the TASTE I get cream brûlée along with citrus fruit and tropical fruit and spice and that all important Zacapa zing of the Pedro Ximénez, smoke and the FINISH there is boiled tropical sweets some more spice and some nuttiness!.
This is a very complex rum and Lorraina Vasquez has squeezed every bit of flavour out of this dram and is a testament to her knowledge and it does live up to its predecessors......every bit of it and I recommend you buy a bottle of this and delve into its layers of aroma and taste.
