This is average agricole with a nice clement character.

Belle couleur, goût de caramel un peu sucre brun avec une trop forte présence d'acool mais dans l'ensemble se déguste bien.

I love rums from Martinique. This has smoothness and delicacy... Rhum Agricoles are really something special, with the aged variants developed with precision and beauty. A sipper, or a high-class Ti Punch.

I want to like this in its own but for me it is better mixed in my Mai Tai! Don't get me wrong it is OK mixed but not outstanding on its own.

Soft aroma of cane, smoke, apple, pear.
Complex taste with the predominance of bitterness.
In the future - without enthusiasm and consequences with the impression of crudity of the product.

I will have to try more agricole rums after tasting this. Woody and alcohol on the nose with a spicy smell. Good flavour with a light burn and a smooth finish.

A Brandy-esque Rum

Clement has a good range of rums that easily slip into a number of other spirit categories. Clement VSOP is a rum agricole that makes a successful transition into the brandy realm.
Bottle: Lovely, simple and old school.
Color: Rich brown.
Bottle Aroma: A hit of a very well aged bourbon gives in to a brandy sweetness.
Glass Aroma: Less intense with an older oak nose.
Taste: A little heat paired with a heavy oak flavor, the agricole grassy sweetness comes in to lend a brandy familiarity, a strong oak finish.
This isn't my style of rum, but it is impressive with its range and depth. It is a great rum on the shelf to share with friends.
