You can easily compare this rum with a light whiskey. Also light color, and refreshing taste. Will recommend for a hot day in the Caribbean.
Un ron fino y sedoso. El dulzor es natural. Acaba como un Bourbón muy turboso.
A bit harsh, expected a bit more from this one, also taste quite close to cognacs.
My first aged agricole, and I'm really impressed.
I found the reviews on here a little hard to interpret, so went and tasted a couple at the shop and plumped for this.
I get a burst of brown sugar to start, which fades to a balanced finish of mild grassiness. There's a subtle burn, but it's all in keeping.
Ok, I get that it's different to a molasses based rum, but it still tastes very much of rum to me. I actually find Chairman's Reserve Legacy more divergent and challenging than this!
Good but not great, a little harsh and smokey, better an ice
Not bad by any stretch but pretty underwhelming. Thin and flabby on the pallet.
This one need some time in the glas.
First it has a very light nose that is saying hello to you. You need to stick you nose deeper in the glas to catch the aromas. But after some time more fruits are developing in the glas.
The taste makes a turnaround from salty to sweet taste in the middle.
It's like a good story when you got at the turning point.
This rhum has also suffered from the dilution. 40% is not enough and I get sometimes a feeling of watery taste when I first put it in my mouth.
Smell: white fruits (apples, melon), citrus, olives/salt, medicine, pepper, some smoke
Taste initial: salt, grasy and dry notes (paper), medicine
Taste middle: the sugar cane is comingt with some sweetness (very nice), paper, white pepper
Finish: dry/sweet, paper, again pepper, spice
Aftertaste: pepper and then white fruits again
Sweetness: 1/5
Fruit: 2.5/5
Spice: 2/5
Mildness: 3.5/5
Couldn't quite get a handle on it. My first Agricole. Nothing to compare it to. Interested enough to try more.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
