Very Unique, I have around 40 different rums in my cabinet and this one is a dead give away. Blind taste test is a piece of cake. You can taste the whiskey on the nose and if finishes with a nice port essence. Not sweet but just a fun and enjoyable libation to make you say, " Wow, like that stuff is pertty darn good, Man". Enjoy it is money well spent. I don't know how you could drink this any way but neat... let me know if u find something.. no don't do it man, i like it just the way it is...

The port comes through in both the mouth and nose. Adding a touch of refinement the the usual bombastic and colorful palate of rum.

Smooth, spicy, wonderful.

This is a rum with no sugars added, and yet the nose has a very nice sweetness to it. Among the best value for money rums in its price range, that I have tasted.

The port cask aging adds character to a classic Caribbean rum. The sweetness is balanced by notes of spice and oak. An easy sipper to add to the collection.

Une des meilleures surprise de mes dégustations. Des parfums de cherry et de bois. Top.

A nice rum with a distinct nose and taste of port. Long pleasant aftertaste, but overall to much port for my taste.

You will need some time for finding all flavours of this rum. Burbon and Port taste is definitly there!

I am a big fan of the "Exceptional Cask Selection" releases from Foursqure and Mr. Seale. At sub-$40, this port barrel-finished rum is the best value of the bunch. It does require a few minutes in the glass to breathe and open up, but once it does, it is beautifully balanced. Naturally balanced sweetness, with the slightest hint of port on the nose and palate. Very deep... pour this into a proper glass and get lost in the nose. My biggest complaint is the meager 80 proof (c'mon, Rich! Though I guess I could blend with some 2004...). Still, a tremendous value for a world-class rum!

9-, 9 (former rating: 8+). If it were 45%+, 9+.

A really well balanced aged rum, not too heavy on the barrel or the port. Medium bodied on the pallet and lightly sweet. The aroma of toffee, oak, vanilla, and light port is fantastic.
