The aroma of port wine is immediately present and powerful, and so my senses were primed to taste aged port...but instead I got rum with very heavy port overtones. Now, I like port and I like rum, but not in the same glass. I don't feel that the flavors blended well to make one fine drink. Instead, there are two prominent and distinct profiles, and little harmony between them.

Port and rum, bad combination. A bit of port complexity washed away by alchool

Duft: vanilje, karamel, tørret frugt dejlig sød duft med en smule fad ingen sprit.
Smag: en smule sprit. Tør og sød på samme tid. Der er en del fad. slutter med en bitter chokoladesmag

I couldn’t wait to try this rum. Had heard many great things about the product. I debated about the port cask and I think a whiskey cask. This had higher reviews. I was disappointed vs the hype. It was ok. Sippable but slowly. A bit hot, spicy alcohol coming through. I found the Port cask confusing the flavor should it be port forward or whiskey forward. I have not found or been a fan of multi cask rums. Papas pilar this one etc.

But unfortunately they don't come together very well (at all).

Quite strange, it zig-zags between sweet rum and sour port. Both taste quite nice on their own but together isn't great.

Golden brown in colour, couldn't see any of the red other people mentioned.

Fruity smell.

Very smooth taste, only a slight but very pleasant hint of burn.

"Off" finish similar to a sherried whisky. Slight gap in the aftertaste and then an almost aniseed taste.

Salty, sour. I found it difficult to find anything to get attached to.
