I like sweeter rums. This has a little too much cognac aging, and though it has notes of sugarcane, I find it a bit on the dry side.

Smells and tastes of oak, pepper, cognac, caramel, sugarcane, and cinnamon. A touch of sweetness, but a little too dry for me to call this a great rum.

This is very nice. I’d heard that the quality had dropped off due to the horror show the last decade+ has visited on Haiti, but I’m very impressed with this. A good entree point for people curious about agricole rhum as I find a very nice balance between sweet and dry; grass and fruit! Santé!

Found this and was impressed by the deep fruity taste without too much sweetness. Will be my regular go-to rhum.

Sugar: estimated at 8-10 gpl. To me it seemed that the blender added some form of sweetener to soften the Agricole bite in this rum. Okay taste with wood, caramel but it tasted like they added sweet n low to the blend leaving a what is that taste. Good mixer, but not a sipping rum for me.

The thing is how many times are you in Hati. So not exactly the easiest to find but one to grab if you can smooth and nice.

Nice rum for a cool night. Great over a big cube. A favorite. Served to a few whiskey drinkers and they loved it.

The nose is delicate and slightly sweet with a floral undertone. The sip gives you that grassy taste distinct to agricole but it’s not harsh, light and delicate like the nose. Then you get a wave of sweetness but that isn’t overpowering either. The mouth gets warmed, a little bit of spice from the proof, its sips hotter than it is, and finished with a baking spice with a hint of cinnamon.

My first agricole. Smooth with grassy notes very different from typical rums, but still good to drink.

My favorite year for rum is 15yrs. This is just a revamp of the original 15yr old. Figued I'd give it a try. Maybe same but different label. " It's OK" rum but not making my cut! The ElDorado 15 is a bit lighter but does a better job at this age. Although its higher proof than the el dorado and same price range it's still lacking. Not going back!

Nice change of pace. Different flavor but not too agricole or clairin. Keep going back and buying it.
