There are better rums out there, but for the price ($21.99), this was good value. Maybe not great straight, but less of an after-burn than I would have expected and there was a bit of oak flavor. A little better mixed than not.

At under $20 a bottle this isn't a bad rum. Not great but not bad either. In this area of Florida it seems it is an exclusive product for ABC Fines Wines & Spirits chain. The label indicates it has its origins in Barbados but other than that there's really not much that can be discovered about this rum. The flavor has some sweetness to it as well as hints of vanilla and toffee. I seem to detect some woodiness to it so it may be aged in wood barrels of some sort (oak?). Seems a bit dry and has a bit to it. This would probably appeal to bourbon drinkers. It's pretty good but not great. Works well as a mixer.

Found this at ABC fine Wine in Daytona Beach. I tried this 5 year before once, and it did not disappoint. Good price.
From Barbados.

It has a little too much of a bite for me, and isn't really sweet enough for my tastes. But I'll still drink it on the rocksโ€”watered down a little, it's fantastic.

Tasted from a lil bottle while on holiday in Bellevue WA June 23, 2023.
Color: deep amber
Aroma: caramel, cough syrup
Flavor: this is a sweet rum, with a bit of a vanilla and cherry cough syrup flavor to it. The flavor mellows to more of a traditional flavor, but I'd not call this a sipper. I'm thinking Coca Cola with a couple cherries ๐Ÿ’
This does seem to be numbing the inside of my mouth.

Purchased a nipper bottle at BevMo in Bellevue WA on 6/23/23. Medium to dark gold in color. This rum has a lot of bourbon notes to it. Perhaps too many. Vanilla is mild, but discernible in both aroma and flavor. Quick and pedestrian finish. Medium in body, just not memorable. Leather flavors with a residual bitterness of nuts.

The first taste was a bit hot, then itโ€™s nice.
A little on the sweet side for me, just slightly.
Finish is pretty clean but leaves something, some fruitiness or something, not bad.
I canโ€™t pinpoint the different flavors, it has depth like a cake or something. Smell is mild

If it has added sugar it's welcome.
It is on par with 2...3x more expensive drinks.
Not spicy at all.
True Barbados!

P. S. My condolences to Royal family

Little too no nose and less flavor. Hard pass for any serious rum drinkers. I tried it neat, rocks and mixed with coke.

I tried this rum after enjoying the Cayman Reef Double Black which has become one of my favorites. I like the sweet taste and aroma of it and though it might not be a sipper it does mix well with anything you prefer. Great price too.

This is my first time seeing this rum. It was not expensive, but it quite surprised me.
It has very nice smell, exactly what rum should smell like... a little sugar, a lot of smoke and nice spicy ending. I would rate smell 9/10.
Flavour is alcohol first and then spicy and a little smoky after flavour. It has slight artificial taste, but still not enough to ruin the overall taste. This rum from Barbados is sweet, but spicy at the same time and pretty nice. I think I would recommend for the ones who start with rums.
