Vacationing in Martinique and bought a bottle of Hardy Vieux. Cheap looking bottle and label design. Cheap at EUR 10 at most grocery stores. Light golden color. Traditional Rhum Agricole floral notes and grass with pure burn at the end. This is only a mixer rum.
The nose is woody on olive and menthol. There are also candied fruits. On the palate, prune, butter, toast. The finish is spicy, smoked on tobacco. It is well done. Not a big rum but interesting.
Distillé chez St James, le rhum Hardy vient de Tartane en Martinique.
Design : "fait maison" et bouchon à vis, en 50cl et 1l
Nez : alcool, fruits confits
En bouche : boisé, épicé, finale alcool puis canne
pas désagréable mais manque de finesse.
