Very good plantation rum. Smooth with really strong pineapple aroma. Taste is also full of pineapple and some other tropical fruit. To my taste to much pineapple flavour but it is very solid rum.
This rum is great on the rocks. The text on the label is fun to read.
A little bit strong and spiced. Finish of pineapple and apricot. Not much added sugar. Light fruit aromas and honey. Nice to pass your evening
On the nose it is full of sweet, fresh pineapples. I just wish it tasted the same. However, a good standard mixer, especially if you use it in a drink with more pineapple such as PiΓ±a Colada. Unfortunately not fit for sipping, too strong burn.
I am not a fan of flavored rum, but I like everything Plantation does. So I borrowed it from a friend. Pineapple flavor is subtle along with sweetness. Wonderful aroma, probably a nice younger Plantation rum is base. Smooth, mixes well with just about everything.
Pineapple is clearly felt in the aroma, but in taste I found more like a banana and clove.
Yes, the pineapple flavour is there but so are also a strong alcohol taste. A little strange tasting in my opinion.
Love the little kick of pineapple that i get with this drink,
inslag av fat, ananas, vanilj, arrak . Len att dricka
Sweet, pineapple is smell and little taste. But used Ron is not so old. Ladies could drink but I don't like.
The nose is sweet but not overly so.
"Smells very much of fresh pineapple as opposed to sweetened tinned pineapple."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Perhaps not one for all rum purists, but this is a far cry from a spiced rum, so I would recommend trying it with an open mind.
When I first uncorked the bottle, it was like sniffing a ripe pineapple that had been soaked in smooth and fruity rum. The taste was then no surprise, with strong notes of pineapple, which doesn't overpower the rummy flavour. The combination of infusing the rum with pineapple bark and then adding distilled pineapple macerate gives a fruity flavour, whilst remaining far less sweet than you might expect ("off-dry" is probably the best descriptor), with a hint of burnt molasses and a smokey finish. I haven't tried the Plantation Original Dark that is used as the base for this, but can deduce that it must have a fairly prominent banana flavour, as this cuts through behind the pineapple. As with most rums, adding a tiny splash of water opens up the flavour a bit.
As has already been said by others, it would be very easy to sip your way through half a bottle of this neat without realising.
I haven't tried mixing it yet, but I'm going to have some with a splash of hot water and some sugar before bed tonight :)
