This is a great tasting shot type option for parties and to introduce those who a hesitant to do shots. Goes down easy but still has a nice kick!
Really bad. I didn't expect much but Jesus. It may be one of the toughest drinks I've ever had.
I know the pepper would throw anyone off, it did me in for sure. BUT if you throw this stuff into some orange juice, whatever combo of things these crazy creators did makes it taste like candy. I was honestly super suprised. For anything else though.... there isn't much hope.
I like rum that is on the sweeter side but this is way too sweet. Can taste the little spice from the jalapeno but the sweetness is overwhelming. Love the bottle though
I did like the citrus taste but other than that nothing special. It is good for a change from the plain spiced rum once in awhile.
I have purchased these as Christmas gifts in the past for my fellow rum drinkers and all have enjoyed it. Between the taste and the cannon ball, bottle they liked it as did I
Not sure how this is still produced. Little to be enjoyed. Best used as a shot given to your least favorite friend. Heavy citrus flavor mixed with acid.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not a good rum, but fun for partying.

I believe in reviewing things for their intended purpose. For instance, Fireball is horrible as a whisky. But 3 am at Burning Man when you are getting your second or third wind and about to head back out of camp into Black Rock City and a chilled handle gets passed to you, it really hits the spot. Yes it's a gimmick, but it's supposed to be. As a shot, it's okay. Lemony with a sweet habanero finish. But personally I think this works best with ginger ale. It makes a very nice cocktail. This is not what I'm going to reach for when I want to relax on the porch with a good rum. But when it's a red solo cup event, this is good weapon to have in the arsenal. Also the bottles make very cool cannon ball tiki torches when you are done.
