This is an odd flavored rum (and I do mean flavored rum, not spiced rum). It smells and tastes of lime, and the taste also includes jalapeno. Although that's a little odd, I find this rather tasty for a flavored rum.

One of my better liked flavored rums.

I like rum that is on the sweeter side but this is way too sweet. Can taste the little spice from the jalapeno but the sweetness is overwhelming. Love the bottle though

Not sure how this is still produced. Little to be enjoyed. Best used as a shot given to your least favorite friend. Heavy citrus flavor mixed with acid.

It burned quite a bit and the lime flavor to it was not pleasant

Nose = Angostura Orange Bitters - cardamom + water
Palate: not the right word. Tastes like molasses soaked oranges with a hint of baking spice.
Finish is wonky and off-putting. It's something medicinal, and not the romanticized scotch-ey sense, but medicinal as in it tastes like a bizarrely sweet cough syrup.

I tried this every way, neat, little water, rocks, mixed and couldn't find a good way to enjoy this.

A reasonable drink when mixed with a punch or cola at a party, and the bottle is a nice talking point, but for the real rum connoisseur the gimmick will fade away quickly, not to be taken seriously. Avoid drinking straight.

Made for shots. The bottle is cheesy, but thatโ€™s marketing. Keep that in mind. More of a liqueur. Captain Morgan drank more sherry than rum so thatโ€™s probably why his taste is off.

Well itโ€™s all I could find for a flight, less than memorable, but in a pinch. Maybe if you mixed it with coke or ginger ale but just wide ice terrible.

Sugar: 30 to 40 gpl. This is gimmicky but it works. I bought this rum for the cannon ball bottle it comes in. For taste it's Rum mixed with Lime and Pepper! I checked the Captain Morgan website to find out more and it refers to Chipotle and Jalapeano as the peppery ingredients! If you are doing shots and pretending to be a Pirate or daring your pals to try it, then this works. The only thing I would mix this with is a beer chaser or drop a shot of this into a glass of beer. Otherwise it doesn't taste that good on it's own. It is worth having on the shelf just for the fun of it! Taste is a 2, but I give this bonus points for the bottle.
