Had a rum tasting on a sunny afternoon, because why not. George Ocean Coffee Rum bottle and label design looks pretty decent. Light golden color. Very strong coffee to the nose and palate, but its only 42 Proof. It has a taste of cold coffee.
Very excellent mixed with a bit of coffee and creamer. Add some ice and you're in business, baby. If you're an adventurous type, drizzle some choco syrup on that bad boy and stick a straw in that sucker. Ice it up, and you've got yourself a great American drink, my friend. Mhmm yes I am going to make another one right now oh yes.
Like one of the other reviews said, a lot of the folks on here won't like it. But this is very tasty. It's only 21%, so is easy to drink straight. But I bet it would be great as a replacement for Kahlua. Sweet coffee taste and little alcohol burn.
This is not really a rum, but it's awesome for what it was meant to be. And that's an alternative for Kahlua. Makes an awesome Mudslide.
Actually not too bad mixed with a Starbucks Frappuccino. Probably not too bad mixed with anything you might like the flavor of very sugary coffee. Most on this site would not consider it, except for an interesting diversion - it's only 21% alcohol. Nothing serious here, but give them credit for trying - and they might find an audience. At some point I'm sure we'll see Malibu or Cruzan or one of the other flavored rum folks try coffee too. Can't really tell it is rum though. Could be any spirit since the sugar and coffee overpowers it anyway.
